Contributions to NSW workers compensation made by EML staff and teams have been recognised as among the most outstanding by icare, at the 2018 Care & Service Excellence (CASE) awards.
icare's CASE awards celebrate individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond to provide better outcomes for injured workers and businesses.
Five EML finalists were showcased at the awards night:
Excellence in Improving Employer Performance
Our South Western Sydney Local Health District team enhanced claims management and outcomes resulting in a $4.8m improvement in deposit contribution and improved return to work outcomes for workers.
Outstanding Team – Specialist Care Services
Team Fire has been instrumental in improving return to health and work outcomes for NSW Fire and Rescue, State Emergency Service & Rural Fire Service workers.
Outstanding Individual
Braden Renel, an outstanding case management specialist, manages complex mental health claims. Braden has contributed significantly to achieving positive customer outcomes, supporting capability uplift of his team and promoting the industry.
Outstanding Individual – Care & Support
Tamara Ng, a highly respected Senior Case Manager in the Worker Insurance Division of EML. Tamara achieves outstanding outcomes on her claims through her genuine passion to help people get their lives back.
Young Professional of The Year – Care & Service
Eliza Conroy delivers superior customer service and tailored injury management for injured workers with some of the most complex, high risk and sensitive claims in the Workers Insurance NSW scheme.

EML has been supporting NSW Fire & Rescue, NSW Health, the NSW Police Force, the State Emergency Services and Rural Fire Services for up to ten years.
During this time partnering with these vital frontline services and individuals, EML has contributed industry-leading support for employees and continues to make important improvements to workplace injury management and prevention.
