Outstanding programs delivered by EML were Finalists in the icare Insurance for NSW Awards for excellence in risk management and prevention.
The icare awards recognise standout performers in the NSW Government risk management and work, health and safety area who are delivering positive outcomes for the people, businesses and agencies of NSW.
"It is an honour to be recognised in these awards" said EML Chief Operating Officer Tracey Harris.
"At EML we believe that a collaborative approach is fundamental to helping people get their lives back. This award/nomination not only recognises our team's efforts, but those of our partners."
We are proud the following programs were Finalists in their categories
Risk Frameworks, Systems and Processes:
- Progressive Goal Attainment Program with NSW Health: Helping injured health workers return to work one small step at a time.
- Psychological Claims Management Framework with NSW Police: Educating the NSW Police workforce on the importance of early intervention and proactive management of workplace conflict and complaints.
Programs awarded for General Claims Risk Innovation:
- Motivational Interactions: Training NSW Health Return to Work Coordinators to better personalise their communications with injured workers and create a sense of unity and common purpose that enhances recovery and return to work outcomes.
The Risk Leadership Award went to:
- Michele Murphy from NSW Health: Michele has been instrumental in the Work Injury Screening and Early Intervention Study (WISE) program, which has increased workforce participation following musculoskeletal injury; and the Motor Vehicle Risk Management Program keeping workers safe on the road.
“Our programs are delivering positive outcomes for employees of the NSW government and the communities they serve. Receiving nominations in such great company is very humbling" said Ms Harris.
The NSW Public Sector employs more than 300,000 NSW workers, making it one of the State’s largest combined employers.
“Our teams at EML are drawing on more than a century of experience to deliver life-changing results. We continue to strive to make a difference not only in assisting injured workers, their families and employers but in preventative workplace safety management” said Ms Harris.
